Thread: Property Portfolio Owning SNP MP's

Default Property Portfolio Owning SNP MP's

    http://www.theguardian.com/commentis...ly-for-the-snp

According to this almost 1/3 of SNP MP's have property portfolios......nothing wrong with that at all....but IF TRUE it will certainly taint the anti austerity / ethical partys reputatation and see them as being no different than any other property owning political elite. Well thats what is being inferred anyway in an interesting read by the normally fiar / impartial Guardian.

Nothing at all owning a second property or portfolio as you've said. But when your party has won an election on being fairer anti austerity looking after equality and the poor you'd best make sure every property isnt charging too much rent is in tip top condition and doesn't take advantage of Vunerable groups. Or else the word Hypocrisy will spring to mind rather quickly.

That seems to be the gist of it, The Guardian are attacking the hypocricy involved as you put it, kinda cuts across the spin of being fairer / anti austerity etc.......nowt wrong with anyone having properties to let etc but for the media this falls into the "champagne socialist" class........thats the way of it though

To be fair it doesn't even cut into champagne socialism that in my mind is when someone has money and espouses how live to those without. This to my way of thinking harks to the more unsavoury of far right greed and excess where it's ok to do anything as long as it turns a quick buck don't worry about the consequences. There is very little if any socialist aspect of knocking a Vunerable person down on price then making a very quick profit. Unless you can point me to which part of socialism that would come under. So far from what I'm seeing the SNP are really turning into a corrupt unaccountable bunch of bullies.
