Default Peter Murrell intervened in Business For Scotland

In the midst of the allegations surrounding Michelle Thomson and her property deals.

It also emerged that Business for Scotland, the prominent pro-independence campaigns that was co-founded by Thomson before last year’s Scottish referendum, had secretly stripped Thomson of her role as a paid consultant after rows about the conflicting roles of senior figures in the campaign.

The Sunday Herald reported the decision to cancel Thomson’s contract was covered up by Business for Scotland to protect its public image before the referendum, while Thomson was allowed to stay as managing director and spokesperson but unpaid.

According to leaked emails, her removal came after an intervention by Peter Murrell, chief executive of the SNP and husband to Nicola Sturgeon.

During the referendum campaign Business For Scotland was supposed to be independent of political parties but now we find out that the chief executive of the SNP and husband to the First Minister was directly intervening in the organisation.

All this along with the First Minister assertions that she has no idea about Michelle Thomsons business dealings during FMQs at Holyrood.

Reports are that a further 50 SNP MPs are causing concern for the party with fears that further revelations may emerge about them.

It does rather put pay to the notion that the First Minister didn't have a clue about Thomosn until she read about her in the Sunday Times surely that incident would of made you look closer at the person.

It also brings into questions the Independence of Business For Scotland during the referendum campaign, it the Chief Executive of a political party is intervening in the day to day running of the organisation is it really Independent or should the electoral commission be taking a closer look at whether or not it was linked to the SNP which would bring them huge problems if it turns out there has been political interference with the rules on funding.

Well we know about Dr Monaghan already so that's only 49 and then we have links between McKee and Thomson coming out.

Haven't a clue about the rest unless you include Hyslop and what appears to be the unfinished business with TTIP.

Or another case of the SNP doing exactly what they accuse all the other parties of doing. Amazing how they sling mud at everyone else cry like bairns when caught themselves.
