    A PROBE is being carried out into the tragic death of a new-born baby at Caithness General Hospital in Wick. NHS Highland confirmed that arrangements have been put in place, with immediate effect, to ensure the safety of pregnant mothers and babies.

    THE prospect of taking on higher-level opposition will motivate Wick Academy as they go into tomorrow's Scottish Cup first round replay at Whitehill Welfare. The Scorries were denied a place in the second round last weekend, after a last-second equaliser by the visitors meant the two teams have to do it all again at Ferguson Park, Roswell.
