Default Pet boarding while owner in hospital?

Hi, asking for a friend. Are there any charities who would look after a cat while the owner is in hospital? The owner is an elderly lady and she expects to be in Raigmore for at least a couple of weeks - the cat is her only companion and she wants assurance that he will be well looked after, but she can't afford a cattery... Does anyone know of other options available in the north?

That's a really lovely offer - I'll get back to you if the charities can't help xx
