great pic's tugmistress, are they wild ponies or from a farm nearby?

I think they're kinda semi wild. Lovely aren't they?
I remember helping to round them up one year to be checked over etc and I remember the most gorgeous black stallion.
I also remember that one of the ponies kicked one of the helpers in the groin as it turned and bucked . The man got my full respect though, he didn't shout, scream, yell at the pony, he just carried on calmly and quietly doing what had to be done during the roundup and believe me, that kick just had to hurt. I believe this man is a teacher at Wick high too and I know both my daughters think he's great.

To be perfectly honest i haven't a clue if they are 'wild' or not, but they are definately hand tame, my daughter spent half an hour stroking one when they came to the fence for a nosey, though there were one or two that didn't want anything to do with us humans

No they arn't wild, they are pure Icelandic Ponies, they belong to the Laird of Camster, the teacher at Wick High Porshie spoke of is his son.

Yes, he is really cool - kinda reminds me of Alvin Stardust, though I know he wasn't a punk rocker, lol!

All those ponies are beautiful, Tuggy. Any chance you could post larger versions of the pics? (Especially the first two, please.)

Thankyou so much, Tugmistress. Your photos are terrific! Luckily, I don't have dial-up, lol! When I look at the full size photos, I feel like I could reach out and touch the ponies! They're all so cute, and I especially like the red one with the blonde mane.
