Have you ever seen one of these in Caithness????

Seen this today in my mums garden darting from plant to plant, after googling it pretty sure it's a Hawk Hummingbird Moth. Never seen one of these in Caithness before but they are apparently quite common further south. What an amazing little creature it was.

Well done for getting a pic of it! We had one in our garden several years ago (South of Wick) and it would be nice to see another one.

Looks like one to me, used to get them en masse when I lived down south.

They are scarce in Caithness but a few are recorded most years. I have had the odd one in the garden but not for a few years. I agree - they are amazing creatures.
