Download FREE mobile phone app for Caithness and Sutherland

We're delighted to announce that the heritage mobile app for Caithness and Sutherland is now available to download for free for Android. Just search the app store on your device for Venture North or click here.

Apple will be available soon but in the meantime you can also view it on the Venture North website.

For background to this community project which has been a partnership between Venture North, Strathnaver Museum, NHC Online and a vast number of voluntary organisations across the north see our website.

The app hasn't been fully tested yet and we'd love to hear what people think. Is your favourite site listed? What have we missed? Can you help us with photographs to help illustrate our wonderful sites here in Caithness and Sutherland? Or have you found any problems using it? Aww why'd you want to do that?

It's map based so you can focus on a Grid Ref and search in a set radius on the app version. The web version doesn't have that capability but you can zoom in to the bits of the map that you are interested in and search that way.
