mmm mmmm, wonderful, Andy McKee quite obvisouly a good percussionist also and Raul making himself sound like a whole band. Awesome. Was it just me or did he screw up a little in the middle, he kind of looked like he was making a break then hesitated, maybe nerves. Brilliant though.

I was always a big fan of Richie Havens, not near as technical, but loved his style and his awesome voice! Here is his long excerpt from woodstock, loved the way he barred chords with his thumb.

Sandals and socks though, come on Richie! Classic clip! Last four or five minutes "Motherless Child (Freedom)" is my favorite song of his, especially in this performance.

oops sorry ment to say i prefer raul, heads not screwed on today,

i find it amazing he can do all those techniques and sing that amazing, and be blind.

shows he has passion and determination for his craft.

    love the song too

"i just wanna be rich, i wanna be happy" lol

the only thing that i can think of that makes blind folk able to play guitars, pianos etc is distinguishing marks on the neck, keys of the instruments. Like braille 'dot markers' for musicians in a way

Maybe he was not blind when he learned. Ray Charles was getting lessons on the piano before he went completely blind. I think if you practice anything with your eyes closed you'll get it eventually. But that guy Raul plays incredibly, he plays the acoustic like a bass and a full band, incredible!

Andy McKee is simply amazing - I love the sound of three hands playing! Check out this clip of Thomas Leeb - a much under-rated *three* hander

Stevie Wonder also plays guitar (and Bass, Drums and most of the other instruments) on his earlier albums.

In that case he is a crazy blind mo fo :L

I think blind people would have all the rest of their senses heightened and he learns by tone, he remember where his finger was to make that tone and so on or how far he had moved his upper arm out from his body to hit that note and so on, if you start young and have nothing else to do, you could probably move to genius level pretty quickly if thats all you were concentrating on.
