    Accused threated to stab me and my friends - witness tells court

    A WITNESS described the dramatic moment that a man burst into his home with a knife in each hand.
    Michael Cannop told Wick Sheriff Court, today that the uninvited visitor, he identified as John Glover, was brandishing the knives at him and two friends.
    Cannop, 38, said that Glover told them: "None of you are going to get out of this house...you are going to get stabbed."
    The witness said that himself and his friends managed to escape through the living room window.
    Glover,45, denies on indictment behaving in a threatening manner at Mr Cannop's house in Claredon Place, Thurso, on December 29, last year and being in possession of the knives.
    The case was deserted without any further evidence being led today.
