A COUPLE say they're too scared to go back to live in their own home after it was ramsacked in a raid by heartless thieves. Donald and Michelle Shearer have been left devastated by the break-in to the house in Glamis Road, Wick while they were on a long weekend break.

TWO Caithness brothers who have a rare genetic condition have had their life-saving bone marrow transplants. Euan Macleod who is seven, has just had his operation at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow and "so far is doing well" said his mother Janet. Euan's younger brother, Arran, had his transplant in October and is making good progress.

A CAITHNESS businessman has hit out at BT at the "disgraceful" amount of time it took to fix a broadband fault. John Sinclair, managing director of Caithness Creels, had no broadband connection for almost three weeks and is unhappy with the service he received.
