Woman also accused of attempting to put cable into bath

A WOMAN has been accused of attempting to put a cable into the bath water while someone was in it, Wick Sheriff Court heard today.

Acacia Morgan, 50, is alleged to have behaved in a threatening or abusive manner towards Joanne Campbell known as Smith. The incident is said to have taken place at 26 High Street in the village of Keiss, on October 24, last year.
Morgan, described as a prisoner at Cornton Vale prison, is also charged on indictment, with assaulting Ms Campbell at that address on December 13, last year by repeatedly striking her on the neck and body with an electric carving knife, to her injury and permanent disfigurement and to the danger of her life.
The case was continued to March 31 to allow the accused's solicitor to deal with certain outstanding aspects of the case before entering pleas to the charges. Morgan was remanded.
