Accused of punching kicking and stamping on head outside Wick bar
TWO men from the Central Belt are facing a serious assault charge.
Thomas Hanvey, 33, of 42 Viewpoint Place, Glasgow,and 29-year-old Alexander Stangoe, who lives at 6 Rydenmains Road, Glenmavis, Airdrie, are accused of repeatedly punching and kicking Alexander Dunnett on the head and stamping on it, in High Street, Wick,on April 12.
They are also alleged to have behaved in a threatening or abusive manner at the town's Camps Bar.
In addition, Hanvey is charged with warning Bruce Robertson to say he had not witnessed any incident.
The two accused pleaded not guilty at Wick Sheriff Court, yesterday and had their trial set for November 11.
