    12:00 East v West Football under 13s & 15s in the Dammies, Courtesy of TFC, spectators welcome.
    17:00 Children’s Fancy Dress, judging beside Caithness Horizons, entry free
    17:45 Adult Fancy Dress judging in precinct beside Caithness Horizons, entry free
    18:15 Mina MacKay’s Highland Dancers Display, Sir John’s Square.
    18:15 Judging of Floats Traill Street, entry free.
    19:00 Gala Crowning Ceremony & Pride of Thurso Award in Sir John’s Square followed by the Parade
    of Floats & Fancy Dress Walkers, led by Thurso Pipe Band, Caithness Junior Pipe Band the
    Gala Queen, her Court & their Guard of Honour Kuk Sool Won.
    Highland Dancers Display Princess Street after the Parade.
    19:00 Fishing Competition, Thurso Beach Catch & Release. Entry 10 monies returned in prizes.
    20:00 Precinct Entertainment, amusements, stalls, bungee trampolines in council car park.
    21:00 Family Disco Pentland Hotel, entry Adults 2.50 Children free but must be accompanied by an adult.
    21:30 Pub Entertainment, Doon Major Holborn Hotel. Donations welcome
    22:00 Skinandis Dance, Over 18 years only, contact Skinandis for more info.
    Sunday 13th July
    11:00 Autocross Competition Bardnaheigh Farm Shebster road, entry 3 children under ten are free.
    14:00 Baby show, Thurso Club 2.50 per Baby. Forms at Sutherlands Chemist, Cairngorm Windows or at the event.
    18:30 Car Treasure Hunt, leaving from the Thurso Club & returning there for the results, entry 5 per car.
    Monday 14th July
    13:30 Rhyme Time Thurso Club, provided by OCA Ltd, entry 2.50
    18:30 Guided Walk starting at the Town’s Clock donations to Thurso Heritage Society.
    Tuesday 15th July
    14:00 Teddy Bears Picnic & games for under 7 years, Thurso Club, prizes for best dressed teddies, entry 2.50.
    19:00 3K fun run/walk is open to all ages but under 8 years must be accompanied by an adult, entry 3.
    19:00 5K run - (over 15years only), entry 5. Registration at Thurso Youth Club, Millbank, Thurso from

    21:00 Pub Entertainment, Comm Bar, Traditional Folk Music. Donations welcome
    Thursday 17th July
    14:00 Ceilidh Dancing for all ages Thurso Club, provided by OCA Ltd, entry 2.50
    19:30 Adult Quiz Night, Holborn Hotel, 2.50 per Adult, maximum of 6 people per team.
    Friday 18th July
    10:00 Silver Sightseers (for over 55 years old) Mystery Bus Trip entry 2.50 which includes Tea or coffee.
    Places must be pre booked by calling 01847 891789. The Mystery Bus Trip starts at the riverside Ellen bridge car park. The event has been provided by OCA Ltd.
    19:00 Pudding Night Thurso Club Janet Street, try various desserts. To guarantee entry please purchase a ticket
    from Cairngorm Windows or McBeath Jewellers Adult 5 Child 2.50.

    21:30 Pub Entertainment, DJ Duo Aftermath, Holborn Hotel. Donations welcome.

    14:00 "SCRUFTS" SSPCA Novelty Dog Show Competition Milbank. 1 per class. Registration from 13:00.

    Float Fund, It is at the discretion of the TTIA to award up to 50 per registered float taking part in the Gala Parade, prize winning floats are excluded. You may register floats by emailing info@thurso.org by 11th July 2014.

    Thurso School’s Annual Gala Competition, Topic – Vikings, entries will be displayed in Caithness Horizons in August.

Anything not run by the TTIA personally is classed as third party. Some events may be covered by the other group’s own insurance.

    can cause serious injuries and may lead to a criminal conviction. For the SAFETY of everyone please DO NOT throw coins inappropriately or allow children to do so.

    If you wish to take a dog to any outdoor events, please ensure it is on a lead and is properly supervised.

    Please do not smoke in any spectator’s areas or in queues at events.

    Strictly no alcohol is permitted to be brought into events. Alcohol can only be consumed in allocated areas and purchased
    at the event; otherwise you will be breaking the law.

    Photographs: Any photos taken by the TTIA or approved photographers may be used in future promotions or displayed on Social Networks such as facebook.


    All TTIA profits are distributed to projects within the Caithness area.
