Vigo Thieves are a five piece Scottish alternative rock band from Glasgow. They combine heart felt lyrics with sing a long choruses, and an epic sound built for the big stage.

Tipped for success by the Daily Record, The Sunday Mail, Radio 1′s Ally McCrae and Radio Clyde’s Jim Gellatly, Vigo Thieves have had a massive 2013 after releasing their first 2 EP’s, Heart & Soul (Pts I & 2).

In February 2013 the band made history by becoming the first unsigned band to sell out two consecutive nights in Glasgow’s famous King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut venue. After this they were hailed as ‘Scotland’s hottest unsigned act’ by Geoff Ellis, CEO of DF Concerts.

This saw the band being thrust up the bill at one of the UK’s largest music festivals – T in The Park (having played on the BBC Introducing stage the previous year) to open up the Transmissions Stage. The stage was at its full 3000 capacity and had an electric atmosphere with the crowd singing every word back to the delighted band.

Both EPs received critical acclaim from a variety of media outlets and have sold out of physical copies. The band are now working towards the release of a debut album.

The single ‘Believe’ was made single of the week by Radio Clyde’s Jim Gellatly and received air play on national stations in Scotland, The UK and beyond.

Creating music freshly tapped from their emotions, Vigo Thieves deal in anthemic soaring rock which nods in the direction of U2, Simple Minds and The Killers.
