Default Thurso FC still top of the league

Thurso FC extended their lead at the top of the MSIS North Caledonian League table by 2 points yesterday afternoon with a brilliant 5-1 win away at last season's champions Balintore at Seaboard Park. Thurso's goals were scored by Jamie MacKenzie (3), Mark Nicholl and Phil Makhouli.

Meanwhile in Alness, Golspie Sutherland drew 2-2. Golspie have one more game to play and a win for them at home to Bunillidh Thistle will win the league by a single point.

Any other result and Thurso FC take their third league title since formation in 1998.
