    Bottle attacks alleged - accused denies charges

    A WICK teenager has been accused of a bottle attack on two people in Thurso, last year.

    Andrew Walker, pleaded not guilty to two charges of assault, when he appeared at Wick Sheriff Court onFriday.
    The 19-year-old is alleged to have struck one one of the victims, a woman, on the hand and a man, on the neck - using a broken bottle in both cases.
    The incidents are said to have occurred in Janet Street, Thurso, on April 5.
    Walker, of 48 Seaforth Avenue, Wick, will stand trial on June 24.

    Careless driving alleged


    A Keiss man has denied a charge of careless driving.
    Peter McPhee, 59, was given June 11th as his trial date when his case was called.
    The charge alleges that the accused of 21 Robertson Crescent, Keiss, lost control of his vehicle, which crashed through two stock fences, collided with a drystone dyke and came to rest upside down, causing injury to himself.
    The accident is alleged to have occurred at Bridge of Wester, on November 8, last year.
