Default Slow navigation from page to page using Firefox

I'm getting this dialogue box in the bottom left hand corner of my browser, it reads "Read Static etc etc etc", "Transferring data etc etc etc" or "Waiting for etc etc etc" where "etc etc etc" is a load of jumbled script.

Every time I try to click on it, it then moves to the right hand side of the browser.

I can't remember this being on Firefox in the past, it just seems to be there in the last 6 months and it seems to slow my browser down.

Any ideas to speed things up or have I got a trojan/virus or something?

    Thanks in advance.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.

    Try this web page www.howtogeek.com/119550/browser-slow-how-to-make-mozilla-firefox.
If that doesn't work your computer might have a few viruses or spyware on it, if so run a scan on it to find out.
