Scorries' manager on the move
Wilson's return to Elgin City will shock Wick supporters
Barry Wilson is leaving Wick Academy to join Elgin City as a replacement for manager Ross Jack.
The 42-year-old's move was confirmed to City's local paper, The Northern Scot in a statement today.
It said they welcomed Wilson and looked forward to working with him again. He was well known to the fans through his previous involvement as assistant to Ross Jack whom he replaces.
The news will come as a bitter disappointment to supporters of Academy who saw marked improvement under Wilson's short reign with his assistants, Richard Hughes and Gordon Connelly. It's Wick's second managerial change in as many years and the club will find it difficult to replace him in the latter part of the season.
