    Default Cold Frames

    My kind hubby has been making cold frames for me, what i would like to know is it better for them to have a bottom attached to it, some web sites say yes and some no, can anyone give me thier advice on this.

    We dont use bottoms in cold frames, but we do put sand in the bottom in the hope that it will deter the slugs. So far it has worked reasonably well. I think that the way we work helps with watering.

    Thank you scunner for your reply, maybe i can use the one that has been made i can use as a mini greenhouse?
