Accused purchased personal cannabis resin supply for £250

A WICK man has admitted having been in possession of cannabis and diazepam early in the New Year.
The drugs were discovered after police searched Stephen Gallacher, 43, at Thurso railway station on January 5, Wick Sheriff Court heard yesterday. He told officers that the block of resin, which he purchased for £250 as a three months supply, and four tablets, were for his own use.
Sentence was deferred on Gallacher, of 24 Battery Road, Wick, until October 30, when Sheriff Andrew Berry will see a background report and hear mitigation, on behalf of the accused - he has a record - ahead of sentencing.
