And all my flower pots and tubs are all parked nicely in one corner of the yard.
I see one of the three wind turbines at the top of Scrabster Brae has been completely wrecked by one of the mild gusts tonight. Its the one at "Dunhobby, Forss" - a British made Harbon HWT60, the same as the two 60kW turbines on either side of it.
Two blades are missing and the third is broken about half way down, hanging from the nacelle. The nacelle cap is missing - it and the blade pieces are scattered over the field immediately east of the turbine. In the fading light I couldn't see the extent of where the pieces were - but if this had been the turbine at Scrabster Quarry (next one down) it would have been all over and most likely through Colin Calder's house on the hill !
Of course wind turbines are safe........... pull the other one!
