    Default Private Folder in XP

How can I make a private folder in XP, I know I cannot do a password protected one but is there an alternative. I do not want to make up another user account.
    Help please.

    1 Open My Computer

2 Double-click the drive where Windows is installed (usually drive C : , unless you have more than one drive on your computer).

3 If the contents of the drive are hidden, under System Tasks, click Show the contents of this drive.

4 Double-click the Documents and Settings folder.

    4 Double-click your user folder.

5 Right-click any folder in your user profile, and then click Properties.

6 On the Sharing tab, select the Make this folder private so that only I have access to it check box.

    Hi,

There is no option on the sharing tab to make the folder private, I think this is only in XP, which is what I am using?
Unless anyone can tell me otherwise???

You might want to look into Truecrypt (http://www.truecrypt.org/) it would essentially allow you to password protect it also.

Essentially what you'd do is create say a 500MB to 1GB file, mount that as an encrypted drive then copy the folder to there.
