Default sending music through the internet

A friend of mine has written a song. Any suggestions of how she can send it to me via the net?

Probably the most universal format for her to send is as an MP3, most audio software packages should allow her to sample it at 192k bits per second (bps) which is decent enough quality, but 128k bps will make the size smaller.

It should come out around 1Mb per minute of audio depending on the sample rate so if the file is under 5Mb it could be e-mailable.

However I find the free MailBigFile service perfect - she clicks Try it for Free, types YOUR e-mail address, either drags the audio file to the box or Adds it, puts her own e-mail address then clicks Send File. Once it's uploaded you get an e-mail from them with a link for downloading the file - very simple & easy to use.
