Reports to be submitted under links with NHS Highland Council as part of the packed agenda
THE Caithness District Partnership will meet in full as part of the arrangements under the Planning for Integration partnership between NHS and the Highland Council.
In an interesting and packed agenda the Partners will receive reports and updates from NHS on the Caithness Redesign project, the current delayed discharge position and an update on work of the Integrated teams. Andrea Madden, Community Development Officer, and Mike Flavell, the new District Manager (Caithness), will deliver these reports and updates.
Highland Council Children’s Services will brief and update on the Early Years Collaborative, the Family Teams development, the Family Nurse Partnership and the Dental School visiting services.
These reports will be delivered by Dawn Grant, Area Children’s Services Manager who said: “Children’s Services in Highland are looking towards the next step in integrating care in the Highlands by moving forward with integrating Social Workers, Health Visitors, School Nurses, allied health professionals and primary Mental Health Workers into frontline teams based around Associated School Groups. In doing this we are looking to build services around families with the child at the centre, accessible through a one-stop-shop approach where possible.” The meeting will be chaired for the final time by Colin Punler who is stepping down as chair after the meeting as his term of office as a non-executive member of NHS Highland comes to an end at the end of June this year. Colin said: “The partnership brings together Elected Members, community representatives and other service users with senior officials responsible for the delivery of services. Through their Councillors or community groups, it is an opportunity for any member of the public to bring up issues and ideas for improvement in a public forum or indeed they can raise the matter directly themselves by completing the appropriate assessment form”.The meeting will commence at 11.00 am in Naver House, Naver Road, Thurso and members of the public are very welcome to attend. There will be a slot on the agenda where members of the public will be invited to contribute.
