Default Problem with DVD opening to reveal files rather than playing the DVD.

There is a problem with a pc, when a DVD is inserted, it opens it to view files rather than giving a choice of actions or automatically playing the DVD.

I suppose that someone has accidently or otherwise set it to do this, likely by ticking the box to "Always do the selected action" after they have selected as their desired action "Open folder to view files.", when a choice of actions was given. Can anyone telll me how to undo this, please?

    Default

Windows XP: Start > My Computer > right click on the DVD drive & choose Properties > click the Autoplay tab > set it to 'Prompt me each time to choose an action' > Click OK

Windows 7: Start > Computer > right click on DVD Drive & choose 'Open AutoPlay...' > remove tick from Always do this for software & games then just select any option. From then on it should ask you what you want to do in future.
