    Alleged to have hit friend with poker

    A WICK woman has been accused of striking a friend with a poker.
    Cheryl Fleming pleaded not guilty and also denied a second charge of assaulting Peter Vercoelen, at his home in Kennedy Terrace, Wick, by throwing a cup at him. The offences are alleged to have occurred on separate occasions at the weekend.
    The 41-year-old was granted conditional bail banning her from entering the street or contacting Mr Vercoelen.
    Fleming, of Huddart Street, Wick, will be subject to a curfew, pending her trial on August 7.
