Hello all,

I'm researching Catherine Fairweather - the baptismal entry records her as Katharine - baptised Lynegar, Watten, on 3 March 1808. She was the daughter of Alexander Fairweather and Isabell Miller, married 15 February 1800 at Bower.

Catherine is the sister of my G.G.G. Grandmother Isobell "Bell" Fairweather who married George Young in 1834. Isobell was also known as Isabella.

Anyway, I recently discovered that Catherine married Donald Manson on 28 November 1840 in the parish of Wick. At the time of marriage Donald Manson was a farm servant at Fields, Ulbster. Catherine's home was given as Pulteneytown. One of the witnesses to the marriage was George Young: brother-in-law of Catherine Fairweather.

I know Donald and Catherine had at least one child - a son: Donald Manson. He registered the death of his mother in 1883.

If anyone is researching this family, please let me know.

Regards,
Steven
