    Default can't print from external hard drive

    Just purchased a new computer with windows 8, plug in my external hard drive to print some doucs. some how I cant seem to do it....... I click on expansion drive (f) which opens the folder, then I click on sub folder to which I want to print but get read only and can't print the douc.
    I know the printer is set up and ok as I have printed other doucs from word
    Can any one help pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Have you tried double clicking the file to open it in Word first, and then printing?
