    Default Geese and Swans

Spotted well over 500 geese and 30+ swans near the road just before the Subsea 7 entrance on the Castletown to Wick road.
I was working at the time so was unable to stop and take a closer look. Certainly one of the biggest gatherings i have seen in Caithness.

I know this isn't about Caithness birds, but I wonder if anyone had the opportunity to watch 'Penguins - Spy in the Huddle,' on BBC last Monday? It was an absolutely brilliant programme and I can't wait for next weeks episode. I particularly liked the penguin who fell in love with the robot. Did anyone else see it?

Yes I watched it and it was a great programme.

You're right in that it has absolutely nothing to do with Caithness and especially this thread.

No idea Dog-eared but I spotted some more flocks of them settled in fields when I was driving from Inverness north last Thursday. Again, no camera, sorry.....
