I make oatmeal stuffing which uses bread - not sure if thats what you mean.

All it is, is breadcrumbs, oatmeal, onion, salt, pepper and butter.

3 or 4 slices of bread (I use the heels as its the only time they get used, my mum uses granary bread for variety) almost equal portion of oatmeal (usually slightly less) a medium onion (or 1 1/2 small) and enough butter to keep it together. salt & pepper to season.

Alternatively, melt the butter down, but make sure its a very moist mixture.

    Default Bread Stuffing

Here's how I make it and it turns out fine.

    Milk

    Sliced/chopped onions
Fresh breadcrumbs, (quite coarsely crumbed,"old" bread)
    Salt & Pepper
Soften the onions in the microwave then add to the warmed milk and add the crumbs and seasoning. The mix should be quite stiff. It can be a bit tricky to get the happy medium, but it depends a lot on the bread and how much milk it soaks up. Don't use too much milk or you'll end up having to add more and more crumbs then you'll have enough stuffing to feed an army!(been there, done that ) Hope you enjoy it!
