Bacon roly poly recipe wanted pleae
My Gran used to make a delicious bacon roly poly, I've tried recipes from books but they're just not the same.
Any ideas would be gratefully received.

make a suet pastry
- 400 g self-raising flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 200 g shredded beef, or vegetarian suet
- 300 ml cold water roll it out put layers of bacon and onion on it the roll like a swiss roll wrapping in a grease proof and a cloth a boil or steam for about 2 hrs depending on size lovely with thick gravy had a steak one for me tea tonight good old winter food
