Two charged after Christmas Day incidents

TWO men made separate petition appearances, in private, at Wick Sheriff Court, today, accused of assault.
Darren David Christie, 23, from Aberdeenshire, faced a single charge of assault in Thurso.
In the other case, 28-year-old Gary Alan Bell, from Castletown, was charged with assaults and causing criminal damage in the village and being in possession of an offensive weapon.
In both cases, the accused made no plea or declaration during their brief appearances before Honorary Sheriff Sandy Manson and were released on bail, pending further inquiry.
