    Default Computer won't start up.

I have a pc which will not start up (it worked well for years), the problem is not with the power lead to the computer. If I open up the computer case there is no lights on the motherboard etc, I think that the problem could be the computer's power supply (FSP300-60PLN - 300 Watts ATX12V Switching Power Supply), but before I go out and buy another power supply, how can I be sure that the problem is with the power supply and not something else, like the switch or some other component, please?

Put a tester on end plug hat fits computer and see what reading its putting out when switch on or use a 12 volt bulb with a bit wire and see if lights up

the fans should still fly if the motherboard/processor is fruked.

or atleast 'pulse' and try to move

    prob the psu gone down.

you need a proper psu tester not some lap on leads to test it

Have a PSU tester - am in Thurso so if you're in the area I could come and test it tomorrow, otherwise you could bring the tower to my workshop for testing. PM if interested.
