Default Zappa Plays Zappa: Edinburgh Picture House: Jun 17

Deserves a thread of its own purely because it's a rare chance to hear the master's music in Scotland. Not sure if Dweezil will be taking the band to Glasgow, but they'll definitely be playing the Edinburgh Picture House. Dweezil doesn't go down the route of trying to mimic, or regurgitate his dad's satirical elements, but having seen them before, I can assure you they are a highly talented band with some serious chops... and a sense of humour.

    Arf!

    Cazart!

I'd love to catch that show.

Dweezil is a seriously textbook guitar player. He also has a rather nice recording studio.

    Hope they do muffin man.
"But primarily, the drummer's supposed to sit back there and swing the band." The actual Buddy Rich

One of the best concerts I have ever attended. Exceptionally high musicianship, garnished with great humour and a taste of the unexpected. Pop would have been proud.
