Default Nothing outdated about this fundraiser

Calendar sales are set to snowball in run-up to Christmas

CAITHNESS Heart Support Group’s first venture into the publishing world is proving highly successful.
Its 2013 calendar is now in its second reprint and is being snapped up by locals and ex-pats alike.
Group press officer, Noel Donaldson said: “Sales have exceeded our expectations. We had hoped it would clear itself with a modest profit. Now, it could get an additional boost in the run-up to Christmas.”
He added: “Obviously, we haven’t been able to feature all parts of the county but would ring the changes if we publish a calendar for 2014.”
The 2013 calendar, produced by Caithness Print Solutions, features colourful photos from various parts of the county, contributed by the Wick Camera Club and group members, and sells complete with an envelope for £5 each. They can be purchased from Newsbeat, J.A. Mackay and Reids' bakery, in Thurso, the Halkirk shop, Castleltown post office, the Keiss shop and in Wick, at Notions, hairdressers and The Gift Shop.
As always, all funds raised by the group from its commercial ventures is ploughed back into the community through the provision of equipment for local medical practices and Caithness General Hospital.
