Burglars could even strike when you're at home warn police

NORTHERN Constabulary has urged householders to be vigilant about security after cases of “sneak-in” thefts in Inverness.
The audacious thieves have been targeting houses while occupants are at home.
The force has advocated the following measures to thwart the burglars, in the run-up to Christmas.

- Lock ALL doors, front and rear, especially at night or when in the garden.
- Close all windows and secure them when your out and at night - especially ground floor ones.
- Secure all sheds, garages and outbuildings and make sure bikes and other such are not left out, unsecured, overnight.
- Keep belongings stored within lockers or a secure room whilst at work.
