Everything comes up Rose-y for Nigg's Ted

THE North and West Caithness Ploughing Association held its annual match at Greenland Mains, Castletown, on land made available by Hamish Pottinger on Saturday, report the Press and Journal.
James Tait, of Murkle was the overall winner in the reversible and went home with the P. W. Mackay, Halkirk, Cup. But champion for the day was Ted Rose, of Nigg Station, who won the William Farquhar Folly Cup. He also won the Achavarn Cup for best overall start, Ian Daniel Cup for best 12-inch and reversible plot and the Colin Sinclair Memorial Quaich for best start and finish combined overall.
