Default Non Sky TV thru a Sky dish

Just about to move into a new abode, which has a Sky dish but no Sky box or ordinaryaerial. I have no need of Sky channels. If I buy a Sky box will I be able to receive non Sky channels into my Freeview enabled TV? Thanks

    no.

    there are two systems.

    freeview [from an aerial]
    or
freesat via a sat box or a freesat enabled TV and a dish.

a sky box will need one of THEIR freesat sky cards [they are free]

pers i'd get a freesat box [lidls or maplins or somewhere]

you cant get freeview thru any sat system.
