Sea Fishing Competitions this month

any one interested i shall be running 2 competitions this month (October)
the first one is part of the Wild North Week and a bit of a fun day for anyone wanting to try out fishing and have a go at some thing new, on Saturday 13th at Dunnett bay mid sands car park
from 8am till 10am no entry fee and a certificate if you win this is for a bit of fun and if you are not sure and need some hepl or advice i will help as much as i can

the next competition is for HELP FOR HEROES
ON THURSO BEACH
FISH 3PM - 7PM
ENTRY FEE £10 (all monies to the above charity)
NO CASH PRIZES
PRIZES WILL BE FOR 1ST, 2ND, AND 3RD PLACES
WITH PRIZES DONATED BY

VEALS MAIL ORDER
STORM SEA FISHING
Catch and release rules and the winners will be decided by overall length
Prize giving to follow directly at the Royal British Legion Club Thurso along with a raffle

one rod per person with a maximum of 3 hooks
you would be best with a beachcaster rod 12 ft or longer would be fine also a rod rest of some sort
tackle = 2 or 3 hooks is best baited with thin mackerel strips or lugworm
and hopefully fish on the menue will be flounders , dabs and if we are really lucky the odd bass
if you need help or advice i will be only to happy to help
