Berwick on top but fail to find the net

NO scoring in a hectic first period with Berwick the better side on the whole, says my second-round cup correspondent, Dave Donaldson.
Wick had a great chance in the opening seven minutes when David Allan was pulled down by Doug Rilley but Sam Mackay failed to convert, the Berwick keeper pulling off a brilliant save.
The home team went on to dominate but equally fine keeping by Academy's Michael Gray kept his side in the game.
Rangers sub John Ferguson doubtless felt cheated, his goal bound header bouncing back off the bar.
Berwick were laying seige to the Wick goal, as the whistle went for halftime, Academy fans breathing a sigh of relief.
