    Default Red deer rut

Is it to early to go looking for the rut this weekend?

I'm thinking of rutting this weekend but I'm no sure Mrs Grumpy is of a similar disposition.........
Just when you think everythings fine, life slaps you in the face.

No not really, they usually start end sept and peak mid October
    Everyone is a genius,
but if you judge a fish
on its ability to climb a tree,
it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.....

    Hi,
Roaring has been heard for 10 days now.

Be aware that stalkers will be out on the ground as well just now and will probably be looking for you to call then before you go.

Know of a couple of rutting grounds that do not require a trek into the hills but thanks for the warning crichton.
