    Default summer ??

Hi guys, weren't we being promised another scorcher this year?

Well it's practically mid - june, so where is it?

It's still 'iffy' down here and I checked the temperatures in Caithness only to find that you lot are a good 5 degrees worse off.

I'm coming up next week and am at a complete loss as to what to pack.
Anyone, Tugmistress perhaps, got a clue as to what's coming our way ?

My OH is quite unreasonable and will not allow me to tow my wardrobe behind the car to cover all eventuallities!

    All predictions welcome.

Karia's die in hot cars and freeze in cold ones. X

It was scorchio in Halkirk this afternoon, Karia, the WeeBurdie's were smothered in factor 40, and were out having fun in the sun! Unfortunately, due to afore mentioned dodgy tan, I'm unable to cast my togs off yet...

Not had a look yet but i promise i will ook at the charts later for you for up here
was cool earlier we had that nasty sea harr again, but it burnt off here this afternoon, and i would assume inland a bit was better off earlier than us by the coast
BTW, summer only officially started 1st June so hold onto the thought that there are still over 2 months of summer left !

    Thank you Tugmistress,

I would really appreciate your wisdom on this one.

The rest(?? !) of the summer I can take what comes, but this holiday is important to us and some nice, or at least predictable weather would really make a difference ,what with all the miles to travel.

Its been beautiful here all week.
Hope it holds out for our half marathon tomorrow.
Dont want it too hot, just like its been sunny with a slight breeze.

Our last Caithness summer holiday -the haar barely lifted for three weeks.

I'd go for layers, Karia, and something light and waterproof to go on top.

Hope the sun shines for you, and do hope you have a memorable time.
