    Default Big Flying Bug

I don't have a photo as the dog ate it!

A large inch long orange and black thick striped bug which flew in my ear. I batted it away and it fell on the floor. Was not a bee and indeed looked more like a beetle. Was going to take a photo before the dog intervened. At night in the house with a small reading light on and the door open so wondered about a weird moth. I have looked up moths, bees and beetles but cannot find anything. Any clues? I would recognise it again if shown a picture!

    Thanks

It is the right time of year for what is more commonly known as the tango cockroach. They fly in from the east every year. Sounds very like it!
