    Unhappy RAM problem

    I had previously installed extra (256mb more) RAM on my pc. The pc caught a virus about a month ago and I had to use the system restore cd that came with it, and since then my pc won't recognise the extra RAM even if I remove it and readd it. Anyone got any ideas? It is driving me mental!

    Have you checked that the extra RAM is still working, try it on it's own. Also check the slots (check them all) as one could be faulty. Also which OS do you use and what is RAM configuration original and upgraded?
