Accused ran up bills of more than £10,000 court heard

A WOMAN, who cheated a string of hotels across Scotland including some at Wick and Thurso, has been jailed for eight months.
Helen Ogden (28) originally from the Manchester, admitted 24 charges of obtaining board and lodgings at 24 establishments without paying.
The law caught up with her at Stornoway where she appeared at the town's sheriff court yesterday.
Ogden, whose address was given as Cornton Vale Prison, was said to have "buried her head in the sand" after a "total breakdown in her life" following the loss of her job.
She use various false names as she travelled through Scotland defrauding the hotels of a total of £10,300.
