Yeah i've noticed a rise in the prices of 2h SSB kit lately. I have a large service manual horde for the oldies that i sell copies of on a regular basis and i've also seen a rise in the sales of the ham international ones recently so heres hoping that they do legalise it :-)

the aerial prob need to be shorter as prob designed for CEPT channels i bet as advised

pop the radio back to CEPT channels

    and check the SWR there

should give you a good indication

if the swr is ok on cept then adjusting the aerial shorter will make UK better
though its below 2.5 so you wont really be doing any harm.
