    Default Slim

I have just heard that Slim Morris, who was the drummer of the J.Fats Band and the Howlin' Gaels in the nineties, has passed away today. He was friend, enemy, drummer, singer and all the other things that develop after fifteen years of friendship. Many of you will remember the Sunday afternoon sessions in the Newmarket with the same pleasure as I do. Have a drink to his memory!!!!
In the image of God? You must be joking!

Slim never, ever, said a wrong word to me. In fact, he always (genuinely) asked how I was getting on with music every time I caught up with him. RIP Slim.

he was a great guy, a kinda gentle giant who would help anyone, he may be gone but wont be forgotten
my sympathies are with his wife and family
The man who views the world at fifty,
the same as he did at twenty,
has wasted thirty years of his life.

    Default Goodbye Slim

I did not know Slim as well as others but it was sad to see him go , and I do remember those good old Newmarket sundays when he played Drums with the legendary "J Fats Band". I would say that Slim had his fair share of good times as well as bad and I wish his family all the best and maybe we will all see each other again one day!? "The Big Gig in the Sky".

RIP Slim - gone but not forgotten

    thoughts of day's gone by,
as i roll my eyes to the skies.
    good times and bad,
    funny times and sad.
simple words for friends i know,
open arms to absorb this blow.
    Life deals us a hand,
    we manage best we can.
Tears i weep for sad day's that creep,
creep, creep, creep upon us as we sleep.
    This life's journy is gone,
but then there is better way out beyond.
He will always be in ur heart,
knowing you, as i know you, u'll never part.
lowering my eyes to the floor,
if you need me you know my door. xxx

Many a great night I had in the company of Slim...

Unfortunately I didn`t see much of him this last while but will hold all those memories I have of him close to my heart...

    " Alright mate..."

These words sum up Slim to me... and were always the first words he said to you when you tapped on his door or met him in the street...

Brilliant drummer...dj and singer, but most of all good friend...

    Lovely service yesterday... just right.

My thoughts are with Jo and Nicole.

Goodnight Big Man... shall miss you...
