Default catherine sinclair married john rosie

I am looking for information about Catherine Sinclair who married John Rosie, 25 January 1828, Wick.

I have considerable information about John but having difficulty finding anything out about Catherine other than a Peter Sinclair, cooper in Wick, who stands for her on the marriage certificate. Was he her father, who was her mother and did she have brothers and sisters.

    Kind regards

    Kathleen Todd (nee Rosie)

    Hi Kathleen,
I can't offer direct help but wonder -- do you have names of all their children? If so, the Scottish naming pattern should suggest names of her parents. You'd then need further evidence to confirm it, of course, but with a relatively common name like Sinclair, any way to narrow the possibilities seems worth trying.

Default Catherine Sinclair married John Rosie

if it's the same one John 1801-1883 the son of James Rosie and Elizabeth Dunnet??

then her father is Peter and mother Janet Kirk. She was born in Bower in 1809 and died Wick 1887 - not that I can find this death

edit that's cause the year is actually 1897 and the death is in Anstruther, Fife.

7 sisters Meeny, Helen, Ann, Elizabeth, Georgiana, Isobel and Christian
    1 brother John

some of the info would have come from Jennifer Lloyd
