Wah Pedals
My son is thinking of getting a wah pedal.
He is in to rock/metal/thrash. He is starting his own pedal board with the only pedal so far a MXR Full Bore Metal, which he got for £30 from Cash Converters. It sounds great and I wish I had seen it first!
I have a pretty decent multi fx but frankly the wah on it is the weak link. It doesn't really give that 70s porn movie "wakka wakka" sound (or so I am told!). It is too "polite", even after some tinkering with the settings.
Any advice on brands or what to look out for in a decent wah?

Not a guitarist but most of the good ones i know use a Jim Dunlop cry baby wah.

I agree with Dave, had a quick look and there's loads of the standard Cry Baby Pedals on ebay just now. Can probably pick up a second hand one for about £30 or so, just hope its a good one that you get if it is second hand. There's a lot of guitarists with signature pedals with additional controls now, but they're pretty expensive.
