“Unlocking the Mysteries of the Common Scoter”ByMark HancockRSPB ScotlandThis rare breeding duck, the Common Scoter, has its UK stronghold in the Flow Country of Caithness & Sutherland but is in decline nationally. Mark Hancock, RSPB researcher led a team on a three year study of their remote loch habitat, including invertebrate fauna, food supply and fish populations.
